Arc de Triomphe - In 1945
This photograph was taken by my father, J. Reeves Haley while serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps in March, 1945. The scene was strickingly different from what you would see now or anytime since the end of WWII. No tourists, no traffic - just a few Army vehicles and soldiers. A very desolate scene. This was taken with his Zeiss Super Ikonta BX.
Scanned from the original negative (120 roll film).
